It was the wedding of the years which saw billionaire bride Nicky Hilton marry wealthy English heir James Rothschild in a lavish but eccentric day that saw a marriage between the two cultures - and some mishaps with the £50,000 Valentino couture dress.
The 31-year-old's dress had a lengthy train and was worn with a traditional lace veil under which a sleek blonde up-do could just about be seen. She also carried a bouquet of white roses - seen earlier being carried into the hotel by an aide.
But it landed her in a spot of bother more than once after she tangled with a Bentley that parked on the train and later her hemline rode as high as spirits as a team of staff helped her look perfect at Kensington Palace.

Slight imperfection: There was an awkward moment when a Bentley parked on the train of the dress, trapping the bride outside Claridge's
Wrong place to park: The bride couldn't go anywhere until her £50,000 Valentino dress could be freed from underneath the tyre
Carefully does it: A guest tries to remove the train so the lavish wedding of Nicky Hiilton and James Rothschild can continue
